The Pursuit of Something

This project focuses on my hometown where I grew up, the two major themes being hedonic adaption and urbanization in the suburbs. I spent a lot of time driving around, looking at the strange systems put in place and noting how they seemed to be random and not efficently placed. What i’ve noticed about urbanization in the subirbs is that things are placed for convenience rather than being tought out. The other theme, hedonic adaption, is displayed through the way the photos are shot and edited. I wanted to capture the way I see my hometown, which is dull and boring.
